Climb to the Jenner mountain station
From the Hinterbrand car park it goes slightly uphill through the forest to the restricted access road that leads to the middle station of the Jennerbahn. Shortly before the middle station, a narrow path branches off to the left, which leads steeply up over mountain meadows and then joins a path that leads past the Vogelstein and finally to the Mitterkaseralm.
From here we continue up to the ridge that connects the Jenner with the Pfaffenkegel. After about 15 minutes you will reach the Jennerbahn mountain station.

Descent and way back
The descent from the Jennerbahn mountain station first leads past the Carl von Stahl House, which invites you to take a short break with a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains. Another worthwhile stop is the Schneibsteinhaus, which is also known for its impressive views. These two mountain huts not only offer relaxation, but also a unique alpine atmosphere.
After these detours, you continue your descent past the picturesque Königsbachalm and the Wasserfallalm. This stage of the hike takes you through an impressive landscape and always offers fascinating views.
Before you reach the middle station of the Jennerbahn, you should take a detour to the beautifully located, idyllic reservoir. The pond is a perfect place to relax and is the perfect end to your hike.
You can shorten this tour around the Jenner significantly if you use the Jennerbahn for the ascent.
